LICENSED AS A CLASS "C" EXHIBITOR
Ponies & Pals is inspected and licensed annually by the United States Department of Agriculture.
What does this mean? It is a federal requirement that all commercial exhibitors of goats, sheep, pigs, and rabbits be licensed by the USDA under the Animal Welfare Act.
This ensures that our animals are living in clean, safe conditions with appropriate shelter and bedding and that all proper nutritional needs are being met. We are also required to have our veterinarian of record certify to the USDA the health of our animals. The vet must provide to the USDA inspector, a complete detail of the course of care for each type of animal that we have on our farm.
